A big THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes, songs and celebration,  I'm happy because I'm not alone!  It's a memorable 18th birthday indeed!  (Although we got Math test in the morning and English for the next day =.=)  Yet, we spent the whole day enjoying with holiday mood~ Haha

Finally, everyone in ALUK8's here!  We had a small party at Secret Recipe.  Thanks for those who sacrificed their study time and came.  And thanks for the birthday cake!  =D
Since Catherine's birthday's in December, and all of us will be having our holiday during that time, so we celebrated hers as well. hehe.  See the words on the cake?  It's Happy Birthday Baby Jay & Cat.  Haha...  Since when I became Baby Jay.  Haseef, lick off the "a" and "y"!!

Hahaha... Haseef, you win!  Nice expression!

ALUK8, gonna miss you all deadly.  See you all next year!

Right after the party, it's Karaoke time!!!  The three Chinese in ALUK and I were really rushing with time, running all the way from station to station, just to reach Redbox in time.  We were screaming and dashing like a mad all the way.  Hahaha  Luckily, we arrived in time.  Phew!

Have a nice day on my 18th big day =D
Thanks again to all of you!  Love you all so much!
Have a fun holiday and see you all again next year!!!  Byebye!!!

It's Sunway Day Again!

Finally, the four and only four Chinese in ALUK 8 had their own trip to Sunway Pyramid!  And it's a karaoke day in Redbox!  (Please highlight the "karaoke").  haha!  I can't imagine life without it.  I need karaoke to recharge myself!!!  Well, it would be our last entertainment before the final exam.  So, right after the class, right after the Statistics test, run!!

Before karaoke session, EAT!!!
I had Ginger-Duck Mee for my lunch!  Hehe

Boon's expression made the food delicious.  haha  But it's really nice.  I like the fried durian!

Pineapple juice with Pak Chin and Boon as the background.  lol

After the lunch, REDBOX!!!
Catherine and I =D

I could't stop laughing when I saw this photo.  There's actually another person on my right-hand side, but I neglected him.  Hahaha  Sorry, Pak Chin!

I was blamed for my lousy photographing technique.  But, Pak Chin, yours didn't look better.  This is the cropped version >.<

Boon was busy singing.  So, no photo.  -.@

Then, we had barbecue for dinner!  Boon left earlier, so there were only three of us having our dinner.
But, we managed to finish everything!  Haha!

Catherine, wrong position!!!

Wahhh, we saluted ourselves for finishing all these stuffs.  But, it's not as much as what you'd seen.  It's just the cabbage at the bottom~

I miss non-halal food!!! hahaha

很贪吃的脸

Err, I wonder why we did that pose.  That's not a lion. -.@

 Eee.. Under 18

Overall, it's fun and I like it! =D
The basketball machine was fun too. hehe

Let's go to the beach

Ahh!  It's October and it should be raining everyday!  But no!  The weather is killing me like hell.  It's super hot super hot SUPER HOT!!!  The fiery sun is burning vigorously high up in the sky and I can feel the powerful effect it gives.  I feel so "sexy" waking up in sweats.  The sun is hot, the wind is hot, and the room is hot.   I want ice-creams, I want freezing cokes,  and I want cold air!!!
See how reddish the room was while I was sleeping on my bed this morning.  The sun is trying to penetrate through the curtains.  I feel like everything is going to get on fire~
I can feel anger, fury, power, blood, sexy, energy, craziness, rock n' roll!
My head is spinning and I need more paracetamols!  Ahhh!!  Let's go to the beach!
Tomorrow is Sunday, and I hope it'll be just like the song "Sunday Morning", the rain will fall.
I feel so HOT right now!

Halo Halo

Halo halo,  nothing special in this post.  Just wanna say hi to everyone and a big hug to my blog.  I'm still ok and I'm still alive.  And I will try my best to spend more time on this blog.  The first semester exam is around the corner, ( starting from the 8th of November until 15th of November for my art review ).  Yet, I'm still doing my art project non-stop for days and nights.  Sketching faces and studying human psychology.  I really need to start my revision now.  Anyway, I'll be back to Sibu on the 18th of November.  Holidays, I'm coming!!!  Can't wait!!!

Sad to know some bad news recently.  Erm, I'm trying to comfort myself that life is just about process.  Everyone needs to encounter it.  No matter it's good or bad.  Oh ya, and I saw this few days ago ---> Sadness is a state of happiness because it is an emotion and emotions allow us to solve problems and solving problems allows us to live as fully as we are capable.  So!  I shall be happy because I can feel sadness!

One more thing that I should bear in mind - kiam bui.  Haha!  Hangat-hangat tahi ayam.  >.<  Good luck to myself then.  =P

Happy wedding to those who is getting married today.  101010  Nice number.  But 111111 will be much more nicer.  Haha.  Can't imagine what will happen next year on my birthday.

My Transformation Mask

Finally, I've done my first art project!  P(^O^)9  Damn excited (although the final product was a boo..hehe) Art wasn't a difficult stuff for my before this.  But after I entered INTEC and get started with all those crazy art projects, art becomes  super complicated.  Architecture students are always the busiest group in the campus.  No time to sleep, no time to study, no time to play and always fall asleep in class.    Seriously.  Art students really need a lot of patience.  Redo, redo and redo.  But, I was not as crazy as the guys, with sleepless nights~  They were too over!!  But they really did a very good job, which I should learn from them.  I am still in elementary stage compared to their advance level la.  Why did JPA choose me to be in one of them?  What a shame XD haha
Well, this first project took us about two months time.  We were assigned to make 6 psycho face masks with the theme "transformation".  The process was really terrifying.  Do you know how terrible it  is to put vaseline and plaster of Paris on the face?  And I got my hand burnt because of the masks.  The process was just too horrible that I'll just skip all of them as it will be a long long story to tell.

My Psycho Face Mask
A journey to civilization

Barbarism

Oops, that's public humiliation, two is enough. =D  Our next project will be on psycho self portrait.  Looking forward to more ideas.  There are still a lot of things for me to learn and to catch up.  I hope I can handle everything. =)
Ahh!!! 18 soon!  I must think of something great and special to be done before it's too late!  Bucket list bucket list...  Coming soon.

I  miss my home, once again!

J's murmur!

Hi-5!  It's time to update my blog again =D  Thank god for the Hari Raya holiday.  I really need some time to rest now.  INTEC's life is killing me like hell.  I didn't sleep well for two months!  I will be happy if I can sleep more than 6 hours per day.  My black circles...@.@

I know I was a bit too eMo for the past two months.  I phoned back and told my mom I wanna fail all my tests and quit my study.  =(  A big sorry to my mom.  I just need more time.  I don't know why I have to do things I don't like.  I hate the feeling,  I hate that!  Seriously.  I'm not happy at all.  T.T  But, =(  that's life.  I know I have been complaining too much.  I should be grateful for what I have now, right?  Don't worry.=D  Just like what Mr Adib said, nothing is easy.  Everything will be fine, I know =D  I like ALUK 8.  All of them are pretty nice and kind.  I think that's the reason why.  I always remember what Don told me - God loves me more than others.  =D

But, kinda sad to do work until midnight, alone.  And all the works were rejected again and again.  What a sad case.  I need more power and strength.

Forget about that!  I'm home!  And I'm happy!  Let's capture this moment!

Haha.. Stop being crazy.  I thought I'll be busy doing my homework this holiday, but, haha!  I'm in holiday mood! And I slept whole day, man!  It'll be a last minute work again.  But, I got really no idea for my artwork.  I'm not that creative and artistic.  Transformation?  Sounds easy but freaking hard.  My brain just refuses to work.  So, how?  Forget about that.

Oh ya, a big thank you to my dear Alukians. =D I like Alukians!  You are all fun and nice.  Thanks for helping me when I'm in need and thanks for cheering me up when I'm down.

* We are happy family *

Oh, one more thing.  I got a new nickname.  It's J!  I like that =D

I'll be back to Shah Alam on the 19th of September.  oMg.  That's fast.  Next holiday will be on the 18th of November.  Gonna miss my hometown a lot.  =(  Well, I wish I got more time to update my blog.   You are my babe!

Mama, where is my ball!

Ok, the only thing I wanna say now is
WHAT THE HELL
Is this the life God has decided for me?
Or it's just a mistake I'd done at the very first time.
Ok, from dentistry to architecture,
it's really two different things!
Dentistry=biology+chemistry
Architecture=art+physics
How flexible I am XD

Life's brief candle?
Don't be fool, man.
There's still a long long way to go.
Classes, assignments, artworks, exams...
Can you guys get out of my way?
I need more time, joy, freedom, and laughters!

BUT

There's always a BUT in my dictionary
Luckily, no more H2O, HCl, H3P04 or whatever in my life
No Chemistry for Architecture!
That sounds great, isn't it!
But I miss Biology so much!!
Sad to say that,
Medicine,
You are too far away from me :'(

Mama, wo ist mein Ball ist!!!
This is what I learnt from my ALG friends

Goodbye MMS~

Finally, our Minggu Mesra Siswa comes to an end.  Wow, the orientation week was so much better than the matriculation in Labuan.  It's much more fun and all the facilitators were kinda nice!  I wonder why the orientaion in matriculation had to be so torturing.  We didn't need to rush with time here.  And the activities were not that packed.  And the most important thing was... food were provided!!  Ahha.. One week meals - settled! Oh yeah~  But gonna worry about daily food now. Ish.

Ok, for the whole week, we carried out lots of activities in group.  I was in ALUK.  It's A-Level UK.  You know what?  At first, we got only 7 ALUK members.  Ahhahaa..What a minority!  You know?  Other courses like ALM and AUSMAT,  they got more than hundred students. ALUK 7?!! And only 4 pursuing architecture, ahahaha... And we was kinda famous in Intec since we're so few and we had an active leader-Fifi.  He's really.. AHAHA!!! so fun and humorous!!  And I really like my ALUK members.  They're so talented.. and pelik somemore.  lol...  All of us got "hidden talents" eh. haha..  But 8 more joined ALUK.  They're scholars under Petronas, doing engineering.
We played " big bang " with the Russian programme's students.
Eating on the grass
ALUK and Russia programme scholars
Listening to the talk in Dewan Besar
My friends from ALUK, Russian programme and ALG

Classes will start on next Wednesday.  A Level, i'm coming!! Ahhh...

Just had steamboat for dinner.  Yummy yummy~
I miss chinese food so much. T.T

The Karate Kid

Ha!!  I like the Karate Kid!!
P(^0^)9

Just back from the cinema, and had a nice time watching movie with my friends.  Finally, Joy joined us.  Ahaha!  She told me this was the first time she went out at night.  Gosh!  She was much more over than me.  Ehehe..  But seriously, only now I can really sense FREEDOM after the SPM.  Oh yeah~  And I think I'd spent this half year playing and enjoying life.  I'd almost forgotten how to study or even memorise thing.  Oh no!  That's bad!  I wonder if I could cope with the life I gonna encounter soon in INTEC.  Oops, seems like I've run out of topic.

Well~  The Karate Kid, is a kung-fu movie performed by Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.  It's a story about a 12-year-old boy from Detroit who moves to China with his mother and incurs the wrath of the neighborhood bully.  He makes an unlikely ally in the form of his aging maintenance man, Mr. Han, a kung fu master who teaches him the secrets to self-defense.  And bla bla bla~  Erm, I think it's the atmosphere and the sound effect in the cinema that made it great.  I enjoyed watching the boys battling!!  China's Kung-fu really rocks!  I wish I know some martial art one day.  It's cool hah.  And I like the Chinese girl too.  She's pretty sweet and beautiful.

So, if you guys are feeling bored at home, stop sleeping.  Go to the cinema and have a watch.  It's worth.

MumMum Pizza

Just had my lunch with the gals at Pizza Hut.  I thought I gonna see more coming but there were only four of us today.  Everyone was busy with their own stuffs and some were not in Sibu right now.  But, it's ok.   Nevermind.  Another gathering will be held soon, and it will be a grand one.  Hehe...

Have a nice time eating and gossiping.  Glad to know that Linda's in a relationship now.  Hehe.  Congratz and congratz.  And Catherine!!!  I'm really speechless to see you driving without knowing the road =.=  You should have studied Sibu's map before you go onto the road ya.  Oh ya.  Another gathering will be on this Saturday night.  See you guys soon.

p/s  And I found that my post had become briefer and briefer.  I'm really lazy now.  No more interest to sit in front the computer for hours, typing nonsense.  Ohno!!!  I should change my attitude!  Be a pro blogger.  No more space-consuming photos and rubbish words.  XP

It's been a couple months of time since you moved back to KL.  I could still remember vividly what you did and how much you sacrificed for us.  You're kind and lovely.  And yet, sometimes we disappointed you.  We all loved you so much but you really had to go.  Deep in my heart, you are absolutely great.  Thanks for the name you'd given me and somehow I really  appreciate it.

Glad to hear some good news of you again from Ling Hung, telling me that you're getting married today.  I'm so glad to know that but feeling sorry since I can't fly there to wish you personally.  So, I would like to send my regard to you here and wishing you a happy marriage ya.

Happy Wesak Day !!!

Yo!!  It's Wesak Day!  Actually I was not a very superstitious buddhist and I didn't know much about buddhism at first.  I just followed my family to the buddhist centre every 1st and 15th day of lunar calendar before.   But I learnt something after the buddhist class in plkn.  Although I'm not pro enough to tell others about my religion, but at least I know the origin of buddhism.  Hehe...
To celebrate this festival (actually not celebrate lah), I went to the Buddhist Centre in Sibu with my family this afternoon.  Fuuyooo.. Sibu people really like to appear during festivals only.  Hehe... If not, the buddhist centre was normally cool and quiet.  Ooops.  Sorry to say that.
What we normally do during Wesak Day is 浴佛。  Here it is.

 Small kid bathing the Buddha

 The stage

Posing in front of Guan Yin.  OMG.  I'm putting on weight.  Look big bah.

Well, since I've never posted articles about Buddhism, just let me have a brief introduction on my religion.

What is buddhism?

Buddhism is a religion based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, who lived about 26 centuries ago in what is now Nepal and northeastern India.  He came to be called "the Buddha," which means "awakened one," after he experienced a profound realization of the nature of life, death and existence.  In English, the Buddha was said to be enlightened, although in Sanskrit it is bodhi, "awakened."
In the remaining years of his life, the Buddha traveled and taught.  However, he didn't teach people what he had realized when he became enlightened.  Instead, he taught people how to realize enlightenment for themselves.  He taught that awakening comes through one's own direct experience, not through beliefs and dogmas.
In the centuries following the Buddha's life, Buddhism spread throughout Asia to become one of the dominant religions of the continent.  Estimates of the number of Buddhists in the world today vary widely, in part because many Asians observe more than one religion, and in part because it is hard to know how many people are practicing Buddhism in Communist nations like China.  The most common estimate is 350 million, which makes Buddhism the fourth largest of the world's religions.

Siddhartha Gautama's Early Life

Siddhartha Gautama was born about 583 BCE, in or near what is now Nepal. His father, King Suddhodana, was leader of a large clan called the Shakya. His mother, Queen Maya, died shortly after his birth.
When Prince Siddhartha was a few days old, a holy man prophesied the Prince would be either a great military conqueror or a great spiritual teacher. King Suddhodana preferred the first outcome and prepared his son accordingly. He raised the boy in great luxury and shielded him from knowledge of religion and human suffering. The Prince reached the age of 29 with little experience of the world outside the walls of his opulent palaces.

The Four Passing Sights

One day, overcome with curiosity, Prince Siddhartha asked a charioteer to take him on a series of rides through the countryside. On these journeys he was shocked by the sight of an aged man, then a sick man, and then a corpse. The stark realities of old age, disease, and death seized and sickened the Prince.
Finally, he saw a wandering ascetic. The charioteer explained that the ascetic was one who had renounced the world and sought release from fear of death and suffering.

The Renunciation

For a time the Prince returned to palace life, but he took no pleasure in it. Even the news that his wife Yasodhara had given birth to a son did not please him. The child was called Rahula, which means "fetter."
One night he wandered the palace alone. The luxuries that had once pleased him now seemed grotesque. Musicians and dancing girls had fallen asleep and were sprawled about, snoring and sputtering. Prince Siddhartha reflected on the old age, disease, and death that would overtake them all and turn their bodies to dust.
He realized then that he could no longer be content living the life of a prince. That very night he left the palace, shaved his head, and changed his prince's clothes for a beggar's robe. Then he began his quest for enlightenment.

The Search

Siddhartha began by seeking out renowned teachers, who taught him about the many religious philosophies of his day as well as how to meditate. But after he had learned all they had to teach, his doubts and questions remained. so he and five disciples left to find enlightenment by themselves.
The six companions attempted to find release from suffering through physical discipline--enduring pain, holding their breath, fasting nearly to starvation. Yet Siddhartha was still unsatisfied. It occurred to him that in renouncing pleasure he had grasped pleasure's opposite--pain and self-mortification. Now Siddhartha considered a Middle Way between those two extremes.
He remembered an experience from his childhood, when his mind had settled into a state of deep peace. The path of liberation was through discipline of mind. He realized that instead of starvation, he needed nourishment to build up his strength for the effort. But when he accepted a bowl of rice milk from a young girl, his companions assumed he had given up the quest and abandoned him.

The Enlightenment of the Buddha

Siddhartha sat beneath a sacred fig (Ficus religiosa), known ever after as the Bodhi Tree, and settled into meditation.
The work of Siddhartha's mind came to be mythologized as a great battle with Mara, a demon whose name means "destruction' and who represents the passions that snare and delude us. Mara brought vast armies of monsters to attack Siddhartha, who sat still and untouched. Mara's most beautiful daughter tried to seduce Siddhartha, but this effort also failed.
Finally, Mara claimed the seat of enlightenment rightfully belonged to him. Mara's spiritual accomplishments were greater than Siddhartha's, the demon said. Mara's monstrous soldiers cried out together, "I am his witness!" Mara challenged Siddhartha--who will speak for you?
Then Siddhartha reached out his right hand to touch the earth, and the earth itself roared, "I bear you witness!" Mara disappeared. And as the morning star rose in the sky, Siddhartha Gautama realized enlightenment and became a Buddha.

The Teacher

At first, the Buddha was reluctant to teach, because what he had realized could not be communicated in words. Only through discipline and clarity of mind would delusions fall away and the Great Reality could be directly experienced. Listeners without that direct experience would be stuck in conceptualizations and would surely misunderstand everything he said. But compassion persuaded him to make the attempt.
After his enlightenment, he went to the Deer Park in Isipatana, located in what is now the province of Uttar Pradesh, India. There he found the five companions who had abandoned him, and to them he preached his first sermon. This sermon has been preserved as the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta and centers on the Four Noble Truths. Instead of teaching doctrines about enlightenment, the Buddha chose to prescribe a path of practice through which people can realize enlightenment for themselves.
The Buddha devoted himself to teaching, attracting hundreds of followers. Eventually he became reconciled with his father, King Suddhodana. His wife, the devoted Yasodhara, became a nun and disciple. Rahula, his son, became a novice monk at the age of 7 and spent the rest of his life with his father.

Last Words

The Buddha tirelessly traveled and taught until his death at age 80. His last words to his followers:
"Behold, O monks, this is my last advice to you. All component things in the world are changeable. They are not lasting. Work hard to gain your own salvation."

 Siddharta Gautama

Siddhartha has already abandoned all that he knew as a Brahmin to seek his answers as an ascetic Samana.  Nothing is too great a task for him but every task seems impossible, and again it's proven, anything's possible.

Yeah, anything's possible!!!
