Life in Labuan

Yeah yeah~  It's Sunday.  Only now I got time to sit in the cc, updating my blog.  Two weeks spent in Labuan, I'd wrote something about my life here.

14 May, 2010
Phew!  I wanna say FINALLY~ The orientation week was over!!!  And only now, I got the time to sit in front my computer but nothing to do since there is no line here.  So, I gonna write something to be posted on my blog when I can online.  It was really a terrible experience ever in my life.  I only slept two to three hours per day for the whole week and my black circles are now… OMG!!!  Who’s that!!!
All the way flying alone from Sibu to Miri, and then Labuan, the journey was really tiring.  Carrying 5 bags ( 2 big luggages, 2 hand carries & 1 bagpack), I wondered why I brought so many things here.  Especially the coffees and milo. =.=’’  I really have to salute myself for doing the great job all by myself.  ( But actually I checked in two lah… haha. )  Talking about checking in the luggages, it really lit up my fury.  I was asked to pay since they were overload, around 9kg.  RM5 per kg, so altogether RM45.  RM45?!  I looked at the counter girl like this. =.=’’  What the… %@^#^$^#$@#% .  However, I refused to pay, but to take some of the things out.
When I reached Miri airport, I was quite shocked to meet some of my PLKN friends.  There’re quite a lot of students going, but one thing they’re different from me was all of them were accompanied by their family. Huhu~  What a pity of me. T.T
 Miri Airport
Look at my luggages.  what the...
It was almost two o’clock in the afternoon when I reached Labuan airport.  Luckily, there was a bus taking us to KML (Kolej Matrikulasi Labuan).  I really need to thank Wendy and Pressly for giving me a helping hand, carrying my luggages.  After the registration, I got my room key.  My room was at block A, 3rd floor.  Gosh… It was the furthest block in the college!!!  And 3rd floor somemore?!!  Huh… I had a terrible time carrying the luggages upstairs with Wendy.  And since my room is so far from the hall, and we have to walk to and fro many times per day, that’s why I look so muscular now.  Wakaka…
About the orientation week, the activities started at 4.30am everyday.  So, we had to wake up at around 3 something.  Actually, I set my alarm clock ringing at 3.15am, but I didn’t hear any single sound for the five days of orientation because I was so tired.  So, I always woke up at 4 am daily in a state of shock.  And we had to rush to the Dewan Mutiara before 4.15 am.  Huuh!  You know, the distance from our block to the hall was so far!!!  I really had a bad week rushing with time.  No time for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I was always starving to death.  And the food here was so expensive and spicy.  I got really no mood to eat when I see all the pedas pedas food.  But, hungry bah.. T.T Really terrible.
Everyday, we had to sit in the hall to listen to the boring talk.  It was damn hot!!!  Can you imagine two thousands over people squeezing in a hall?!!  OMG… Sweats all over the bodies and disgusting smells filling the air.  I could hardly breathe in my bad sick condition, suffering from running nose and bad cough.  I asked for help from the facilitators whether I could get any medicine or went to see the doctor, but no response.  And the talk was sooo boring and I always dozed off in the hall.  zzZ…  I didn’t listen a single word.
Thousands of people squeezing in the hall
One more thing, standing under the hot burning sun for riadah.  I didn’t bring any sunblock!!!  I became so dark after the orientation week!!! OMG…I was not that dark even after the PLKN.  Who to blame?
In a nutshell, the orientation will be the most terrible memory in my life.  Hot, smelly and busy orientation week.  Eee!!!

Today is Sunday.  So, we are free~  I really have nothing to do!!! Cannot online~  The One Stop Centre was so crowded.  So, I’ll just rather open my laptop and continue my diary.
Yesterday, we had outing.  There were 4 of us in a gang.  Me, Wendy, Pressly and Wani.  After getting our timetable, we got onto the bus and headed to the town centre.  We shopped at Utama Jaya.  Wow~  Who said Labuan is a duty free city?  All the things there were damn expensive!  I bought some stuffs as well.  Then, we walked around the place, lepak lepak.  The most common shop you can see in Labuan is the duty free shop selling cigarettes, alcohols, perfumes and chocolates.  Hmm..  Most of them are illegal, so NO.  Maybe I will bring some when I go back to Sibu.  Hehe…
 Me, Pressly & Wendy
Labuan is a place which is quite hot.  Maybe it’s because of its location.  Labuan is an island surrounded by sea.  So, you get dark easily if u stayed here.  Actually yesterday we were planning to go to the beach, but due to the weather and limited time, so we canceled our plan.  You can hardly find Chinese in Labuan.  I think most of them are Malays or Pakistans.  Or maybe Indians.  You can see quite a lot of foreigners as well.
Around 4 pm, we went back to our college by bus again.  I had dinner with Wendy in my room, eating Mamee Mee.. T.T  What a pity.  Then, continued gossiping.  Wakaka... Slept around 12.
Now, I’m sitting alone at the café, blogging.  Cheh…  Just ate my lunch.  Another money spending meal.  ~n~  I think I gonna eat Mamee Mee again tonight.  Huhu~  Class will start tomorrow.  Hate that.  Ok, gonna end my words.  Have to go back to my hostel and take a rest.  Still coughing bah…  Sighsss…  Bye Bye ~ ~  Hooh…  Damn hot.

Oh, this is the first time I sit in KML library.  Wow…It’s really comfortable here, with aircon~  I think that’s why everyone enjoy going to the library instead of staying in the room studying.  But one main reason I hate going to the library is I can’t fully concentrate on my study.  People usually talk when they get together with their friends.  And the same thing goes to me.  So it’s better to stay alone in room if you wanna study.
Well, today I got my JPA result and it was really WHAT THE HELL.  I was so lucky to get the course of architecture in UK, with two years of GCE A-Level before going overseas.  I really thought that I couldn’t get the scholarship because I didn’t do well for my interview (I was late for the interview).  How dare I say that.  Haha…  But I always believe that God has decided everything for me.  When I entered KML, I was put in the course of physics.  But, I changed to biology side because I hope to become a doctor in future (after a brainwash).  But I told God, if medicine is really not suitable for me, please offer me the JPA scholarship.  But if I suits medicine, don’t let me get the scholarship. -.-  So bad to say that since everyone was so eager to get the scholarship.  Haha… Anyway, I was really lucky to know my status of application because many of my friends didn’t get it.  And they were so good in their studies as well.  Much more better than mine.  I was shocked to hear that they didn’t get the scholarship.  So sorry to know that.  I was really poor in comforting people in sadness, so I just keep quiet.  Luckily I changed my course of dentistry to architecture.  If not, I think I will be like those who failed to get the offer, sobbing and sighing.
Yng phoned me just now, giving me some advices to me.  She warned me to study hard because the A-Level is really hard for students pursuing architecture.  Extra subjects and papers compared to other courses.  By the way, we planned to go traveling when she come back, just before I go to Shah Alam.  Lol… My mom phoned me too, asking me whether I want to continue my plkn or not.  I said YES! Without hesitation. =.=  I really miss all of my friends there.  I asked my mom to phoned the comanden…  Waiting for her reply.  **waiting**

It’s really a happy + terrible day for me.  Saturday should be a day full of hope and joy.  Yeah.  It’s true at first.  I had outing with the Methodist gang.  The first and foremost thing they did after exiting the college was to find non-halal food ( start with the letter p and end with the letter k ).  Lol… After taking the breakfast, we went lepak at Ukana Kewangan, which they normally called UK.
 Everyone heading to UK
I didn’t like the place.  It’s hot.  And the things sold there were damn expensive and useless.  I got really no mood to shop there.  Well.  I just enjoyed the time having fun with friends.  Then, the gang went to the cyber café to appeal for the JPA scholarship.  It was really in a mess and I felt sorry since I couldn’t give them a helping hand.  I had lunch at KFC with the Chung Hua gang.  OMG.  Money spending… I had to pay for them since they asked me to belanja because I got the scholarship. =.=’’  *broken heart*  Wu wu~ ~  But that’s still ok.  It’s just a small matter.  Lol…
Wendy & Wani at KFC
After the meal, I went back to the cyber café to meet the Methodist gang.  They still not yet completed their things since it’s damn complicated.  But time passed fast and we were rushing with time.  Actually, we planned to go to the beach and Marine Park.  But it’s almost 2pm.  So we were really in a rush.  Smack those who kept on asking to hurry up.  Just be patient!!!  We went to the beach around 2pm.  Luckily it was not hot.
  Heading to the beach
I liked the beach as well.  The water’s clear and blue.  I was the first one to take off my shoes and socks, running towards the water.  Crazy~  Hey man, just enjoy!  Some of them hesitated to play in the water at first since we didn’t bring towels or exra clothes.  But they couldn’t resist it.  Haha~  Just enjoy life instead of suffering in KML!!!  I walked in the water with my bare feet, jumping over the waves.  We were so crazy that we tried to take photos of jumping in the water.  But due to the timing problem, we couldn’t get a perfect picture.  The boys caught baby crabs as well.  I got one too.  So cute.  ^6^  Some of them were so stressed to survive in KML that they shouted at the beach, like the one you can see in drama.  Lol.  I should have took it down as video.
Nice view, right?
Amazing.

I was so high.  Ahaha~
My legs on the sand
My legs in the water
It's really fun.  BUT, so unluckily, water entered my phone.  And the phone was broken.  =.=  We canceled our plan to the Marine Park.  I rushed back to UK to have it repaired.  I waited for one hour from 3.30pm, as what the repairer promised.  But he said he need another one hour to did it when I went to him.  So, I waited for another one hour.  Then, I went back to the shop again.  Ohno!  No one inside!  Where’s the guy!!  I was so panic at the moment because we had to return to the college before 6pm!!!  What the heck!!!  Time passed but the guy didn’t appear!!  Then, I asked for his number from the girl working at the stall nearby.  Luckily she got.  I quickly phoned the guy.  He said “ok ok, will be back soon”.  And you know~  Another few more minutes passed before he reached the shop.  When he asked me to check the phone, it was still not functioning well!!!  The keypad was ok but no sound!!!  The guy kept on checking on the phone, but I think he’s really lame.  I was wondering whether he really knew how to fix it or not.  It was over 6pm.  I asked Pressly to phone back to inform the college that we would be back late.  Luckily ok.  Both of us waited for the guy to fix the problem, but the guy’s attitude really lit up my fury.  We were so fed up waiting for the man that we sat on the floor like a poor.  I almost fall asleep.  It’s really tiring.  Then, the man said he needed some time to repair the phone, so he asked us to take the phone the next day.  Haih!!!  Hate that!!!  We went back around 7pm, taking the ‘6’ bus.  I was really tired!!!  And it was indeed a bad day for me.  I really wish that the phone will be in good condition tomorrow.  No more problems!  Another money spending event.  Smack that!!!
It’s almost 10pm now.  I had to go back to my room before the library closed.  Bye bye  >.<  Oh ya,  happy birthday to my friend, Johnson.  I heard that he organized a party but unfortunately I couldn’t go.  So sigh.  But nevermind,  I will be back to Sibu soon.  This coming Tuesday.  I have to start planning my May, June and July activities before I go for my study.  Last chance to enjoy before suffering.  Lol…Ok lah.  Good night.

Well, that's all I'd written in the few days before.  Gonna find something interesting to do before I leave Labuan.  Planning to play basketball this evening.  Stop here first.  See you, guys. Bye~
